Catherine Anne

 Catherine Anne O'Hara, OC was born on March 4 1954. She is a comedian, actress, and writer. O'Hara is the recipient of several distinctions which include the Genie Award, a Golden Globe Award as well as two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and six Canadian Screen Awards. In 2018, O'Hara was appointed an Officer of Canada. In the year 2020, she received the Governor General’s Performing Arts Performing Arts Artistic Achievement Award. O'Hara first drew notice as an actress in 1974 when she was an actor in The Second City improvisational comedy troupe in Toronto. She was part of the main cast on the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978) together with John Candy and Dan Aykroyd. In the next year, O'Hara and Candy began working in the sketch comedy program Second City Television (1976-1984) in which she received critical acclaim for both her work as a comedic actress as well as a writer, securing an award called the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for the Variety Series in 1981. In 2022, O'Hara was added to the brand-new Second City artistic advisory board which was headed by Stephen Colbert, along with Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows, Peter Murrieta, Suzy Nakamura, Sam Richardson, Jeff Richmond, Jason Sudeikis, and Robin Thede.
